Coesam Organic Maquiberry Capsules
is produced by freezedrying of the frozen whole Maquiberries that subsequently are milled to a 100% pure fruit powder in raw food quality.
MAQUI is the Mapuche Indian name for the deeply purpled berry from a small Chilean tree Aristotelia chilensis. It grows in the south of Chile called Patagonia, where the local Mapuches for centuries have known about the outstanding properties of the maqui berry and use it to give them power and energy. The 3-4 mm sized maqui berry contains more polyphenols, in particular, anthocyanins than any other known berry. Anthocyanins are best known as the dark color of red wine. The ripened maqui berry are hand-picked by the local Mapuches and kept frozen until drying.
